Like Nero fiddling while Rome burns, the Republicans in Minneapolis dressed in the wildest party clothes and boogied at a party thrown by the National Rifle Association, Lockheed Martin and the American Trucking Association. The event, held at a downtown night club featured the band "Hookers & Blow" and was hosted by former Tom DeLay aide Glenn LeMunyon.
At a time when the GOP is trying to salvage it's image from the wreckage of hurricane Katrina and the Sarah Palin pick for VP, having a blow-out party seems a bit cavalier. But what else would you expect?
