Of all people Geraldine Ferraro is playing the race card. The first woman to be on a ticket for the VP office is casting some serious race bating dispersions at Obama. She said “If Obama was a white man, he would not be in this position. And if he was a woman (of any color) he would not be in this position. He happens to be very lucky to be who he is. And the country is caught up in the concept.”
She followed that one up with the following, If Obama was a white man, he would not be in this position.…”
OK, I understand that Ferraro is on Clinton’s campaign committee, but to say Obama is where he is strictly because he is black is he worst kind of backhanded racism. It reminds me of people who are convinced that they didn’t get a job they applied for because a “black” got it to fill some sort of quota. Come on Geraldine!
