Pentagon Illegally Spied On Gay Groups

The Servciemembers Legal Defense Network got confirmation from the Defense Department that government had conducted surveillance of groups opposed to the military's "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" law banning openly lesbian, gay and bisexual service members. In February, SLDN filed a lawsuit as part of its efforts to obtain information related to the government's domestic spy program.

This confirms what many believe, that the government is spying on US Citizens for reasons other than posterrorismrorism. Can J. Edgar Hoover's "Enemy List" be far behind?
