Barnum Would Be Proud - Corpses On Display At London Museum

I used to think the days of "Pickled Punk" shows were over. In today's politically correct culture, displaying human oddities, either alive or dead just doesn't cut it anymore. Well, just when you thought civilization had gained a foothold we have "Bodies - The Exhibition" at Earl's Court in London.

The exhibit, made from "legally obtained" bodies from China has everything from embryos to full grown adults many opened and partially dissected to show the internal organs.

OK, I guess you could call this educational, but in reality it just relies on morbid curiosity at it's worst. This smacks of the same kind of sensationalism show that controversial German anatomist Gunther von Hagens put on display in 2004. Later he was forced to return the corpses to China after admitting that they were actually those of executed prisoners.

Gross? You betcha! And the public will probably turn out in droves. Eeewww!
