John McCain's grasp of the economy seems to be tenuous at best. As pointed out by Rachael Maddow on her show last night, McCain kept referring to the SPIC as a regulatory agency. Well funny thing, it's really the SIPC (Securities Investor Protection Corporation ) and it is not a regulatory agency.
McCain campaign people have removed these references from their website and from his transcripts. Apparently, they like rewriting history as much as Bush/Cheney.
