Is John McCain The Modern Herbert Hoover?

Considering the quote, " our economy is fundamentally sound" could have come from both John McCain or Herbert Hoover and in fact they made almost identical statements in the face of the nationwide economic meltdown. Hoover was clueless as the Great Depression drove the country into a spiral, and McCain is just as clueless. I guess he won't realize how bad it is until he sees the dust bowl start again and guys selling apples on the street corner.

With global warming on the rise. both scenarios are pretty close to reality too.
