People complain that we are buying — importing from the Middle East — oil and gas. And then they find out that we have it all right here. We don’t have to do that. If their argument there is “Well, we don’t want to use oil and gas because we think it pollutes” — which it doesn’t — but if that’s their argument, then why are we willing to import it from Saudi Arabia and other countries in the Middle East?So in Oklahoma, where science works backwards apparently, burning oil doesn't polute! Another victory for HOME SCHOOLING!

Senator Inhofe Is An Idiot! No Really!
Yes the Republican lie machine is in high gear. Senator James Inhofe of Oklahoma heaps more scorn on his home state with this amazingly ignorant statement.

A typically stupid comment from another unthinking committed environmentalist. The point was that if oil and gas emissions are poisoning the atmosphere, then at least eliminate the negative economic impact of buying Arab/Venezuelan oil. We are going to need oil for the forseeable future, so, while working to reduce our dependence on fossile fuels, eliminate imports and their negative economic impact by producing most of our oil and gas requirements in the United States. I understand that this argument is impossible for the committed zealots of environmental purity to understand, but their insistance on not drilling here is bankrupting this country. The idiots are you and your friends.
Like so many folks who are not really trying to listen, you miss my point.
Not an environmental zealot, just someone who follows the science not the ideological agenda of big oil.
Sure, the "science" is backward of Reality, but that can be understood---it is backward. The rest is simply incomprehensible.
"Anonymous" certainly stands by the thought and intelligence he put into his post. He has an illustrious name, an extensive and well made web site, and impeccable argumentation! Or, not. Ah, well.
