Senator Ted "Bridge to Nowhere" Stevens has been indicted on federal corruption charges. Indictments charge that Stevens received hundreds of thousands of dollars in unreported gifts from companies doing business in Alaska.
In another corruption investigation Alaska's sole congressman Don Young is also being targeted.
It would seem that in a state as rich in natural resources as Alaska the Republicans just can't be trusted to turn down bribes and illegal gifts from big companies seeking to reap the benefits of those resources.
