Bennigan's, Steak & Ale, The Tavern restaurants, are closed...for good. Metromedia Restaurant Group said in an e-mail Tuesday that S&A Restaurant Corp. had filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy. That means the assets of the company will be sold off to satisfy creditors demands.
Looks like quite a few Dallas area food service personnel will be looking for work since the restaurants here all shuttered their doors and will not open in the future. Franchise units may remain open, since they are owned by individual operators and not the S&A Restaurant Corporation.
