Bank of America said Tuesday it is "prepared to" provide a "limited amount" of additional loans to Republic Windows and Doors to help resolve the employee sit-in at the Goose Island factory.
Republic employees are in the fifth day of their sit-in, protesting that they were not properly notified of Republic's closing and that they are owed severance and vacation pay.
Bank of America, which cut off the plant's credit, has yet to issue any new funds, and any loans would be subject to negotiation, a Bank of America spokeswoman said.
The amount of the loans is not being disclosed, the spokeswoman said.
