Another corrupt Republican politician? I am shocked! Well, not really. In this latest in a long string of corruption charges, California Republican Congressman Richard Pombo gets caught with his hand in the Jack Abramoff cookie jar, and with evidence staring him in the face continues to deny it.
According to Abramoff billing records he met with Pombo several times and bank records show Pombo received over $35,000 from Abramoff clients, the Mashpee Wampanoag tribe of Massachusetts. You got some ‘splaining to do Ricky!
This case brings to mind the phrase that is on a bumper sticker of my truck, "Had Enough? Vote Democratic".
