Today, I watched the Dow Jones fall like a rock. Even though the government bailout was in place and being slowing implemented, the market was panicked even as news of European banks being propped up by their governments as well. The Industrial Average fell below 10,000 for the first time in years. The only good news was the dollar rising against the Euro.
According to polls, almost 69% of Americans fear another depression could occur. Though I am not that gloomy, I feel sure the recession will be profound. What we need is a leader who can restore confidence in the American markets and confidence in the country. Oh wait! We have one running in the election. Barack Obama!
