Tennessee Senate Passes "Don't Say Gay" Bill

If ignorance is bliss, Tennessee must be slap-happy!  Th Tennessee Senate, apparently tired of doing real work, wrangled with the wording of a bill designed to prevent teaching of homosexuality in schools.  never mind that the schools don't "teach homosexuality" now, in Tennessee that makes no difference. From the Christian Post:
The original bill, backed by Republican Stacey Campfield (R-Knoxville), prohibited the teaching of or furnishing of materials on human sexuality other than heterosexuality in public school grades K-8.

But because some of Campfield’s colleagues were uncomfortable with the language used in the proposed legislation, an amendment was written, limiting any instruction or material made available or provided to a public elementary or middle school exclusively to “age-appropriate natural human reproduction science,” according to The Associated Press.
Silliness in the Tennessee legislature knows no limit... First they debated banning Sharia Law, a religious law that never has been the basis of any legislation in the state and now this.  In the words of my grandfather who was born in Tennessee, "them damned piss-ants ain't got nothin' better to do!"  Amen Pawpaw, amen.
