Neighborhood Fun! Man In Wheelchair Robs 7-11

You have to hand it to him, the guy in the wheelchair who rolled into the 7-11 just a few blocks from my place had guts. He came into the store around 2:00am wielding a baseball bat and a knife. No easy task when you are trying to roll your chair either! Then he demanded cash. The clerk fled, leaving the man to bash the cash register with the bat.

The register proved stronger than his Louisville Slugger and he gave up finally settling on 10 boxes of condoms and an energy drink. I figure those two items would go hand in hand.

Police arrived too late to apprehend the robber, who they suspect is homeless. The wheelchair may or may not have been a real necessity. Panhandlers often use them as props to solicit more money from sympathetic passersby.
